Nah…. upper lip is far too full (collagen) and Liz had a smallish, heart-shaped face whereas Lohan’s face is square/blocky. They need to bring her hairline down to a V in the middle.

We’ll see if the acting can pull it together…

Didn’t Taylor have black or very dark brown hair? I don’t recall seeing her with brown hair.

As for Lohan, congratulations to her for getting her life together.

This is a movie for LIFETIME TV. Folks, why so harsh about a TV movie?

At one time, Lohan had a soft feminine-looking face. It seems like she’s had some sort of procedure perhaps that has hardened the features or altered them, and not in a good way.

  4. Gregoracdc says

Yeah, she does look more Crawfordesque here, but it’s a good shot nonetheless (and, really, who will ever look as stunning as Elizabeth Taylor without the help of serious cosmetic surgery?).
It’s too bad Lohan was picked — she is unable to compare with Miss Taylor in all kinds of ways.

Dlisted had a picture of an actress, I can’t recall but she was younger than Lohan, and she was the splitting image of Elizabeth Taylor. Of course that actress is doing feature films and not Lifetime.

I think it was the Olsen sisters youngest sister dressed up as Liz. It was amazing the resemblance. Of course we’re talking National Velvet and Lohan has started at Virginia Woolf and no younger.

Joan Crawford maybe, Liz, no – the makeup people don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

    I agree – I saw/see Joan Crawford

  7. Mort says

Even if it is “only” Lifetime, we’re still talking about a project that’s likely to cost a couple of million to produce. With all the amazingly talented makeup and costume professionals out there, how did the producers manage to hire people who seem never to have seen a photo of Taylor? Seriously, brown hair? Not much of a bosom? I can’t tell: Did they give her brown eyes? Grey? Green?

It’s the lack of basic competence that hurts.

Michael K at Dlisted said the girls at Drag U need to get in there to fix that mess. Agreed. This looks like the Liz Taylor Halloween costume from Halloween Express.

  9. Grover Underwood says

I can see it a bit in her eyes; she does have that old Hollywood look about her so I can see the comments about about Ava Gardner and Joan Crawford

  10. tinkerbelle says

The outfit is so not Liz, she would show her waist, not hide it under some drapey belt thing, also the cut and drape of the skirt is totally not her. Someone (as usual) did not do their research—references DO count after all. Also missing a lot in the bosom — Elizabeth was kind of famous for her spectacular bustline. I’m not seeing any Joan Crawford here though, this sort of resembles… no one.

  11. Jeff in NC says

She looks more like Carol Burnett trying to look like Liz for one of her movie send-ups that she used to do on her show. I knew this casting would suck big time!

  12. scrufff says

what the hell is the make up people thinking. She reminds of a character in James Ellroy’s L.A. Confidential, where hookers are made up to look like famous Hollywood actresses, but never really look like the intended stars.

  13. emjayay says

Yeah, missing the look of Liz by a mile. And what about that distinctive sort of British sort off a bit whispery and edgy sounding voice?
