Meet JC Penney's Gay Dads: VIDEO

Dads

Cooper Smith and Todd Koch, the gay dads in the JC Penney ad, have been appearing on local Dallas stations to talk about the stink One Million Moms raised about their ad.

NBC5 spoke with the couple. Said Smith:

"That photo is actually a true second of our lives, just playing and having fun with our kids and the affection and love that we have for them. We knew that there would be some opposition, but it's nothing that we haven't heard from people our whole lives. It's just part of growing up gay."

They also appeared on WFAA's morning show.

Watch both appearances, AFTER THE JUMP...

PS - JC Penney's not doing well, but it's not because of any LGBT-related advertising.

  2. Great interview. I would have LOVED to have a dad as kind and caring as either one of these men.

  4. The primitive rantings in a collection of books known as the bible is the root enemy of human freedom and progress. If you believe that people who work on the sabbath should be stoned to death as the god of the bible commands, you are a bible believer. If you don't believe it trash that awful book whenever you get a chance.

  5. Believing that there are anywhere near one million moms in that right wing group is just about as crazy as believing that the creator of the one billion gallaxy universe actually inspired that collection of myths known as the bible. LOL LOL LOL

  6. @Oliver, possibly the reason that you have not seen any of the One Million Moms is because they are spread so thin. There are only about 40,000 of them trying to look like one million. That means that there has to be a great deal of space between each one of them when they take the group picture. Well, either that or they have to resort to the same trick as the NOM people and steal a photo of some large group that actually has a million members.

  7. not all adoptees sail thru.
we wonder why we have to be grateful for family when non-adopteds do not, there are risks of genetic inherited diseases left untreatable for ever that need the biological family for treatments and cures, we're up-rooted sometimes quite painfully, that's the gist, see many adoptees saying the same thing on this website > http://about-orphans.blogspot.com.
