'Hangover' And 'Office' Star Ed Helms Off Anti-Gay Chick-Fil-A

HelmsTweet

In the wake of Chick-Fil-A President Dan Cathy doubling down on his opposition to "sinful" homosexuality, actor Ed Helms from The Office and The Hangover tweeted yesterday that the fast food franchise has lost a "loyal fan."

Popular among teens and young men who may not yet be on the side of LGBT rights, Helms' protest could actually bring in more supporters to tip the scale against Cathy and his anti-gay allies.

  2. Thank you. But where are our gay leaders voicing their opposition to Chik Fil A?

  3. Ed Helms is so adorable. I really hope he's gay, just so my fantasies of being his boyfriend are *that* much closer to a reality . . .

    Good for him.

  4. "..But where are our gay leaders voicing their opposition to Chik Fil A?"
    And non-gay leaders, too.

  7. They are closed on Sunday. It's not news the president is religious and thinks that marriage is between a man and a woman. If you boycotted every establishment that had different views than you, you would be boycotting almost every business. Come on. What happened to being allowed to have different opinions?

  8. @ASHLEY My humanity, my civil rights, my freedom to live as an equal citizen of this country is not up for debate and is not fodder for anyone's "opinion". Chick-Fil-A as a company can have any "opinion" it wants or its franchise owners can have any "opinion" they want, but when they actively try to discriminate against me and when they contribute to those organizations who advocate taking away my civil rights, or in many cases, committing violence against LGBT people, their "opinions" become political propaganda and activism. As such, they deserve boycotts and any other negative reactions that come their way.

  9. If KFC, McDonald's etc were smart they would
    -duplicate- the Chick-Fil-A sandwhich and
call it something different (McDonald's has
a "homestyle" chicken sandwhich which does
include pickles but it needs amping up). Let's
see Mr. Cathy takes on the lawyers at Yum
Foods and McDonald's Corp! Hey its all about
corporate competition right, so be it.
Waffle fries are not rocket science okay
KFC? The Colonel would be all over this.
