Coalition of NOM Pastors Accuses NAACP of Pandering to the President with Same-Sex Marriage Support: VIDEO

The National Organization for Marriage has released a new video featuring the Coalition of African-American Pastors, accusing the NAACP of pandering to Obama on same-sex marriage.

As Jeremy Hooper reminds us, it's just part of NOM's longtime wedge strategy.

  4. Wonder how much money they are getting from NOM.

  5. This is racist b.s. from NOM.

This angers me to the point of apoplexy. I want to grab that minister by the collar and say:

I am bible-literate. I can say confidently that nowhere in the Judeo-Christian bible does it mention what G*d thinks about marriage.

After all, Adam and Eve were never married and none of the early biblical patriarchs seem to be bothered with an "institution" that has never really existed (and they had plural wives, etc.).

I also want to ask any of these ignorant pastors to quote me chapter and verse where Jesus (a) condemns gay people and (b) condemns marriage between people of the same sex.

    They can't. And, Jesus didn't.

    @$$holes. All of them.

A major pox on NOM and all of its supporters and their families from now unto the next 10 generations.

  6. The harm that's caused to thousands by such idiotic polemics and falsehoods belies their "religious" leadership. Here's why the AIDS epidemic is still raging in Black populations in our inner cities, because of moral reprobates such as these. Liars! They and NOM are cowards of the worst kind. They're the kind of turncoats that will vote against Obama in the name of the "Buy-bull".

  7. They lost what? The right for guys to fu-k each other up the ass? Talk about a "collection of assholes "(CKNJ) These black men are absolutely correct. The NAACP has always been against gay marriage. Andrew Sullivan's self creation of Obama on Time magazine was only the beginning of the manipulation. Obama's drained the gays of donations, and now he's off to Europe. Money's money, right?

  8. Why is it that bigots are so butt-sex obsessed? Maybe someone has a little crush on Andrew Sullivan?

  9. Remember boys don't use the word "bigot" or you will be playing right into the NOM strategy which was exposed in court records from a 2009 case. Disagree and expose the ignorance nicely.

  12. Apparently they all missed the recent "Frontline" episode that tied the still-raging inferno of current and new HIV infections in the black community TO the pulpits of bigots like these. One would say, "a plague on your house" for your hatred, self-annointed spokespeople for "God"—but you've already accomplished that yourselves. Bayard Rustin and Coretta Scott King are weeping in their graves.

  13. Let's not get too excited with these "One Book Creeds", whether Koran,Bible, Bk of Mormon, Dienetics (?)

These men are betrayers of their heritage...kicking away the ladder by which they rose.
They are blinded by self-righteousness convinced by "what is right" in their own minds and they shove their sad morality on all of us.
Their assertion that God is against same sex marriage is fact everything about these men is confusing; Where is the god that says as they preach ? Which of their gods ? Was it god the father, god the son, god the Holy Ghost ?

These simpletons don't know just how many gods they have.....and they don't know which of these gods wrote their One Book.
They have some notion that the three gods are really one god......but it's really a make-it-up-as-you-go-along belief !
It seems to me therefore with such ignorance of the number of gods they worship (and which one of them writes,) that their superior certainty about us and same sex marriage is preposterous.

  14. R: America hasn't built an entire industry around the butt smelling like roses. And save your all purpose "bigot" word. It's what to say when you're cornered. I'm gay, and I can't stand Andrew Sullivan. I'm no gay clone.

  15. And in the meantime the GOP has pandered to the God-bothering, butt-secks obsessed, P.O.S holier-than-thou brigade.

    So what's your point?

    Posted by: Caliban | Jul 16, 2012 3:40:54 PM

  16. Oh, and they should change their name to Coalition of RIGHTEOUS African American Pastors. CRAAP fits them so much better.

    Posted by: Caliban | Jul 16, 2012 3:58:38 PM

  17. Not that this group of pastors is pandering to NOM or anything...

  18. The final speaker's statement is a gem: "God has never been for homosexual marriage". So he knows what God is for and against?

I guess this pastor (and his buddies) didn't read the opinion by Virginia trial court judge Leon Bazile who also wrote what God is for and against when the case of Loving vs. Virginia was litigated. Judge Bazile said: "Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix."

So, here we have a bunch of African-American pastors (in conjunction with NOM) doing their own version of Judge Bazile, but this time they are telling us what God intended regarding gay people (instead of black people). Got to love it!

Oh, forgot to mention what the Virginia Supreme Court also said in a case prior to the Loving case, because that court also knew what God intended: the law against inter-racial marriage was intended by the State of Virginia "to preserve the racial integrity of its citizens," and to prevent "the corruption of blood," "a mongrel breed of citizens," and "the obliteration of racial pride".....").

Fortunately, the US Supreme Court didn't exactly accept what the Virginia judges were saying about what God intended......but I guess these pastors have forgotten history in their zealous effort to jump in bed with NOM. How pathetic they are, and how wonderful the NAACP has been on this issue!

  19. I'm like a "fluffer" is a gay strip club. I like to get things going. Gay marriage is an effort to be respectable. Gay men should be free, not pretend to be "parents."

    Posted by: Paul | Jul 16, 2012 4:24:28 PM

  20. I don't think seven or so pastors is that many. Does anyone know any of them? Probably not. I probably matters to people more what their local pastor thinks.

  21. Pardon me, but after many decades of working with, admiring, appreciating Black Americans.....
.... I use the horribly derogatory "boys" because they are the ass-kissing slaves to NOM, and they degrade Civil Rights, and ALL freedoms.

  22. I cant say it enought....a bunch of bigots wallowing in their own filth. Keep the bigotry and hatred in your churches where it belongs
