USA's New Greg Berlanti Series 'Political Animals' Won't Be Without Its Steamy, Shallow Gay Hook-Ups: VIDEO

Animals

Greg Berlanti's new series Political Animals premieres this Sunday on USA. Andrew posted an extended trailer for it two weeks ago. It features Sigourney Weaver as a Clinton-esque former First Lady-turned-Secretary of State with a cheating husband.

She also has an openly gay son played by Sebastian Stan who's up for his share of trouble as you can see by the earlier trailer, and this clip, which features Stan and his star-struck online hook-up disrobing and getting down to business.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Check out an interview with Berlanti about the new soap here.

  1. Stan oozes sexiness and is actually pretty darn talented, despite some of the mediocre projects he's done in the past.

It's also not the first time he's played gay (or tied to a country-leading family). He played a character who was a closeted prince on the very good, but sadly cancelled (in the first season), show called "Kings" on NBC.

It's very much worth watching the one season of Kings that was filmed, and Stan is a good reason why.

  2. @Ryan it was watching Sebastian Stan go toe-to-toe with Ian McShane in Kings that made me realize how talented he is.

  3. The "star-struck hookup" looks like he has a set of fangs in the pic. Maybe he also plays on True Blood. LOL

  7. Good scene. It's great gays are finally also more masculine and they are part of different story lines, sexuality is one not the only part of the character.

  9. Allan, I used to work in politics and learned some important lessons on the effects of power as an aphrodisiac. My looks are average at best, but when it looked like my candidate had a real shot at getting elected to Congress, there was this one little collegiate hottie who was all over me on election night -- until the returns started coming in and it quickly became clear we were going to lose. Pretty boy spent the rest of evening hanging on the arm of our richest donor and I never saw him again.

Political Animals is looking more and more like a documentary.

  10. Looks like it is going to be a very good series. I'll sure be tuning in since I like political melodrama. Stan is hot and so is his hookup. Stan reminds me of a young Jason Priestly, very similar looks.

  11. I bet he beds at least two Secret Service agents in the (brief) course of the show...

  12. What a joke. A hot guy would never show up at someone's door to hook up without first trading face pics. I know that for a fact. Hollywood nonsense.

  15. His (the hookup) name is Collin Baja. He's' a dancer on B'way and a model. He was in Spiderman the Musical. Hot!
