Fff

"Disclosure", a One Direction spoof by 'Wrong Direction', takes Mitt Romney to task for outsourcing, Bain Capital, flip-flopping, and avoiding Rachel Maddow, all while parading perfectly toned pecs and completing backflips into a pool.

  3. Why are there always so many gym bunny gays sitting around available to do lackluster videos like this? Is this an LA thing?

  4. Shrill.

  5. I love living in an age when young men can be so gay and make gay gay gay spoof videos.

20 years ago not only didn't the technology exist, but the attitude didn't either.

    Love it!

  8. Now that vid was wonderful........those guys are great.......and the whole concept is spot-on.

WTF are people commenting on the swimwear ? We have become judges at some swim suit contest ?
Dudes, there is a conservative Supreme Court looming if we lose this election.....a conservative court for a generation.
And anything that draws attention to non disclosure of taxes, attacking women's rights and gay rights, and seniors' rights, and the general hypocricy of R & R is positive for us.

  10. A+ for hotness. F for biting political commentary.

  11. I'm too over white gym boys who only hang out with each other to care about whatever message they're trying to convey. Next.

  12. @ jackfkntwist and tilltheworldends: You do realize that a lot of people in our community aren't intelligent enough to understand issues?

  13. Rick - Nothing is good enough for you - and unfortunately you don't seem to be alone. I'd hire the band, I'd hire the idea man behind it, and I would hire most of the performers for any number of purposes. Does being laughably judgmental go with being gay? A review of the Towleroad comments says: "Yes."

  14. + Very cute guys.

    - Major cognitive dissonance going on here. They are talking about Romney's wealth while sitting in the backyard of what looks like a very expensive house, drinking huge bottles of grey goose. Not sure it makes the point they were hoping to make.

Not to mention I doubt any of them would give most poor folks in this country the time of day. But maybe I'm wrong.

  15. In political terms, isn't this preaching to the choir? The video will be watched by gay guys and who else? Teenage girls?

The gay community is already solidly Democratic. And the teenage girls can't vote.

The people that need to be convinced are the independent voters in the key battleground states. It's unlikely this will ever be seen by them. It's also unlikely to get picked up by any major TV network news.

If an organization is going to spend its time and money in an effort to beat Romney, perhaps they should choose their target audience more carefully.

This is entertaining, but as an effective political effort, it fails.

  16. Sorry GR8GUYA but the gay community is most definitely NOT solidly Democratic. Hence GOPROUD and Log Cabin Republicans. I am actually seeing more and more young gay Republicans. This isn't entirely a bad thing unless they vote Republican just because that's the Republican candidate. We need people within the Republican party to vote and to change their party line. Republicans who are liberal on the environment and social issues but conservative on finances are generally a good thing and we need more of them. I do have to say too that I do enjoy the video but some of the comments are spot on about the gym bunny gays and the cognitive dissonance regarding the criticizing someone about their wealth while obviously being in a setting that could only be obtained by wealth.

  17. I know I've seen Brandon, Colin, and Quinn on various Andrew Christian model videos.

Quinn (guy with the tattoo on his right side) is straight because I've seen pictures of him proposing to his girlfriend but I've seen him on Randy Blue doing one jerk off video (I forgot his fake name on that site)

Brandon (guy with spike blond mohawk - far left guy in the picture above) and Colin (the guy who is the lead singer in the video) are gay for sure.

  18. Boy, this is a tough crowd. A bunch of cute boys make a clever political video, and you guys all trash it for one reason or another. Myself, I'm with Alan - 20 years ago guys like this wouldn't have been caught dead in a video like this. It's cute and fun and the lead singer is adorable. Leave your Rex Reed gay hats at home for once.

  20. Guess what! It isn't 20 years ago. It's 2012 and superficial guys singing and dancing a tired tune isn't edgy or even fun. The message isn't new or helpful. It's just an excuse for them to show themselves and their wealth off.

We get it, you abs and friends with nice property and you read the headlines on the Huffington Post. I'm supposed to be drooling over that? Come on.

  21. completely idiotic

  22. Flaunt their wealth? How do you know they're rich? I was assuming it was the pool house at David Geffen's estate!

    Posted by: don | Aug 21, 2012 10:30:58 AM

  23. this vid makes no sense. 'you made billions from firing the average guy-y-y'...i'm not an economist or anything, but if you fire people in a bankrupt company, you don't gain anything or make money. you still have to grow the company, i.e., create jobs and expand the business, to make money.

these gym bunnies are better at doing reps than they are at making cogent arguments...

    Posted by: Jason | Aug 21, 2012 10:36:24 AM

  24. Nope Jason, Bain would buy the company fire everyone and create debts that would eventually force them to bankruptcy. But they still got their checks.

  25. I hope their next video involves them gang-raping Paul Ryan.
