Sean Hannity Says President Looks Like 'Wimp' On Libya Attack: VIDEO

In a conversation with conservative pundit Ann Coulter about the attacks on U.S. Embassies in Libya and Egypt, Fox News host Sean Hannity said that President Obama's response, predictably described as an "apology," makes the commander-in-chief look like a "wimp". He does not say, however, that the response he and Coulter are discussing in fact came from embassy officials in Cairo.

Coulter, meanwhile, pooh-poohed reports that an anti-Muslim video sparked the protests; rather, she thinks they were inspired by 9/11 and by the Arab Spring, which she thinks we need to go back in time to stop. She also claims that President Obama's support for the "riot-like" Arab Spring shows he's "utterly naive on foreign policy".

  1. The more the conservative pundits like Coulter and Hannity talk about foreign policy, the more it suits Obama. That's because foreign policy is dominated by a pivotal Obama achievement in the form of the fate of Osama bin Laden.

Obama will simply point to his success in this regard. If I were a conservative, I would steer the conversation away from foreign policy, not towards it.

  2. Who cares what Hannity thinks? He's just repeating talking points. The right and left engage in almost identical tactics.

As for the U.S. Consulate attack and dead ambassador, it sounds like security was lacking. What does the State Department have to say about this? Who aside from Sec. Clinton is responsible for diplomatic security? I thought they spend a fortune on it, hiring VERY expensive private security [mercenaries] in addition to Marines.

It's now being reported the ambassador was RAPED-SODOMIZED, and that the image of him being carried [helped] was in reality his body being paraded around and filmed. Almost all the published pics of the ambassador's body slung over a man's shoulder are cropped. I've seen the complete image and he is naked from the waste down and people are using their phone cameras.

  3. @RatBastard: a quick google finds that particular allegation existing solely on far-right tinfoil hat type websites... and the Moonie Times which has few qualms about quoting from the tinfoil hat type websites.

@Andrew... Be careful not to call the Cairo embassy statement a "response" to the attacks, as the far right is doing, because it was no such thing. The statement was made BEFORE the protest even started. Calling the statement a "response" that "sympathizes" with our enemies is the linchpin of Romney's disgusting, bald faced lie -- and also, I suspect, the thing people will look back at as the point at which he really had no chance of winning the election.

  4. This is why the viewers of Fox News have been shown to be less well informed. They are being fed the reporting of an alternate universe.

A tweet sent out by someone at the Egyptian Embassy before the riot is attributed to Obama - after the riot. The President is, apparently, supposed to approve every tweet that everyone sends out.

Somehow, Obama is a "wimp." This to describe the guy who made the gutsy call to kill bin Laden. By the way, Romney said that he would never approve a plan to go into Pakistan to get him.

They then complain about the "lefty" media. They seem to agree with Stephen Colbert, "Reality has a well-known liberal bias."

  5. According to USA Today, at least some protesters in Cairo specifically blamed the anti-Mohammed video. They also believe that in a democracy, such a video should be censored.

  8. Coulter and Hannity are two of the most bigoted, uneducated, self absorbed, empty headsIi have ever heard.

Is this what Fox is relying on for policical analysis ?
    It's just a bad joke !

  10. Typical Republican tactics. Rather than admit they were wrong (or lying), they double down on the lies and distortions.

George Orwell is spinning in his grave.

  11. [Obama is] "utterly naive on foreign policy"

Coming from Coulter and Hannity, oh my god that's rich.

  12. In fact, most are now saying that the Libya attack, on 9/11, was too well organized and too well armed to have been simply a protest. Especially so, given that the US recently killed one of the highest Al Qaieda persona... it likely is not related to the ridiculous video.

  13. Oh, heck! The only thing that, to Hannity and Coulter, would NOT look wimpish would be the peremptory dropping of a nuclear bomb.

  14. As Ann Coulter famously said about liberals, I think a baseball bat is the most effective way to talk to her.

  15. Hannity has dedicated his show to defeat Obama for the last 5 years. This makes him a terrible journalist as he always reports and interprets based on his agenda and not truth and facts. It also means he's fine with America doing poorly for his gang to regain power.

  16. Look for the fallout to occur to these scuzbags soon. Guaranteed that in this instance, jobs will be lost. Of course they'll attempt to blame their foolishness on someone underneath them but it ain't gonna help.

  17. If Fox News headquarters was blown sky high, with every employee inside it, the world and this country would be a better place.

I'm not wishing that it happens. I'm just stating the obvious.

  18. What is going on with conservatives? They are increasingly becoming a very destructive force in the entire world. I would not out it past then to achieve the so called heights of the Nazis.

  19. OMG. Was that stupid woman wearing her underwear?
These people sicken me. That they are able to speak such untruths amazes me. In many countries, they would be jailed for treason.

  20. The conservative agenda is to bring about the destruction of all policies they consider liberal and create a centralized power over all the people on this planet through economic and social destabilization. Where most people would see this tragic event with shock and horror, they see it as an opportunity to indulge their bloodlust. Romney seemed positively giddy after his press conference yesterday. Where people of compassion would hope to come together to find a peaceful resolution to a horrible situation, the conservative mindset sees an opportunity to further erode our country's strengths. They benefit economically from chaos, and that is their primary goal. Over time it becomes more and more clear as they sink deeper and deeper into grotesque caricature.

  21. They were both wearing "magic" undies, that cuts off blood flow to their brains. The President did the right thing by not jumping into the middle of this mess. George W. spent years trying to understand the plot of a children's book.

  24. aint it amazing that the network that was out for the Dixie Chicks' blood has spent the last four years becoming the "unpatriotic anti-american" denigrators of their leader that they previously decried.

irony. lost on the plebeian masses.

  25. Are you the same Hannity, who sat behind his microphone in 2002, beating the drums of war while 5,000 brave GI's gave their lives in Iraq, while you made seven figures annually, and are you the same
Hannity who promised to allow himself to be water boarded 4 years ago to prove it was not torture and promised to give $1,000 to veteran groups for every second you were water boarded, and have yet to do so who is calling Obama a wimp, just asking?
