Ellen Ponders the Existence of Gaydar: VIDEO
At her show open on Wednesday, Ellen DeGeneres talked about a recent study that attempted to suss out the existence of 'gaydar'. Ellen thinks it's ridiculous.
"Why do we need Gaydar? We have TMZ to tell us who's gay. I don't like to label people. The only thing I label is my lunch in the refrigerator here at work. I write 'lesbian' on it. That way everybody knows it's mine."
More of her monologue, AFTER THE JUMP...

Love you Ellen, so so funny and oh so happy :)

Gaydar is just "man hate" for the losers and the illiterate!

Towleroad, why still feature the video in your "Talking Points" recap, if it's set to private and nobody can watch it???

Alan Brickman, according to your statement you must have supernatural gaydar.

Gaydar is nothing more than a reliance on ridiculous and often offensive stereotypes. Throw out your gaydar and greet each person as a unique individual.

"Gaydar is nothing more than a reliance on ridiculous and often offensive stereotypes" Not necesarily. I used to have a good gaydar in the past and even when a man would not "act" or "look gay", according to stereotypes, I would know if he was gay anyway, for some reasong. Don't ask me how, but there was something. Now I don't know if I lost it or if I just don't care anymore :P
