Towleroad Talking Points: Some GOPers Side With Love

A look back at today's top stories

As we close in on the date that the Supreme Court will hear arguments in the Proposition 8 case, more than 75 leaders of the Republican Party have signed a brief that urges the court to rule in favor of gay rights. In addition a number of pro-equality companies have announced that they will also be petitioning the court. Ari Waldman looks at what this (and the plaintiff's brief) means for a potential filing from President Obama

  2. Pat is a senile old man that has too many followers. What senior citizen home would want him?

*rolls eyes* And you would prefer he handled it how, exactly? Kicking and screaming and saying how awful it is to be gay and how horrible anyone would accuse him? Or would you prefer something along the lines of making it seem like it's no big deal to be gay, but still saying he's straight and the only reason he's getting this flak is because of haters?

He did the latter, but like a middle schooler who doesn't get it you decided to make a snarky comment instead. Good work.

  4. Also- not referring to the words he used. He is a rapper. Expecting him to speak differently is like expecting the president to start speaking like a rapper.
