Bill Gates Says Boys Scouts Should 'Absolutely' Lift Gay Ban: VIDEO

Why? "Because it's 2013."

Gates was asked about the Boy Scouts and its ban on gays during the first installment of Politico’s new interview series, Playbook Cocktails, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night.

  3. "Because It's 2013" really needs to be used as a slogan.

  6. OUT gay men are not the problem. The trouble is from closeted gay men. Why would the BSA choose to support the problem!?

  7. "Because it's 2013." Great answer.

I think the gay community has allowed itself to be distracted from the main issue with the BSA. We've let them make it seemingly about gay troop leaders, raising the specter of pedophilia. But gay troop leaders isn't what this issue is really about. It's about kicking gay boys out of the scouts when they haven't done anything wrong.

Everything else is just a distraction.

  8. If the BSA wants to act like the Westboro Baptist Church, they'll be depicted as Members of the Westboro Baptist Chruch
