Mitt and Ann Romney Talk About Being Losers in First TV Interview: VIDEO

As I mentioned last Friday, Mitt and Ann Romney gave their first post-election TV interview on FOX News Sunday and told Chris Wallace why they lost, what it felt like, whether they think the media was in it for Obama (yes, they do), and why Ann decided to not compete on Dancing with the Stars.

  1. They keep talking about "the dream to serve". So who's the big liar, Mitt and Ann, or Tagg, the son:
"He wanted to be president less than anyone I've met in my life. He had no desire... to run," Tagg Romney said. "If he could have found someone else to take his place... he would have been ecstatic to step aside." (from the Boston Globe)

  2. Does Mitt look like he's pitying his wife in every press photo of them together, or just this one?

  3. Mitt is giving her an adoring look stupid. Why be nasty about it, remember people get to love whom they choose on this site.

  4. These two truly deserve one another. No accountability at all for the actions, or inaction. Blame everyone else.

  5. Hate their politics, but I have enjoyed Anne's outfits.

  6. the epitome of narcissism and entitlement

  7. And they wonder why he didn't win? Both of them are condescending and vapid. The only truly smart thing I've ever heard from her is the decision not to be on Dancing with the Washed up Has-Beens.

  8. Out of touch with reality. Maybe their sky fairy fake religion will help them.

  9. love the disappointed look on both of them --- LOL...LOL...

  10. They need to get out of blame mode, but let's face it, he lost the hugest contest that anyone could enter. They believed that they would not lose.

  11. this happens all the time to folks who apply for a job half-heartedly.

you interview and tell your friends you're not really interested and wouldn't take it if they begged you.

a short time later, when the call never comes, you're hurt and offended because you were not offered the slot.

only consolation is that you get to play monday morning quarterback with you wife and kind.

sorry, mitt: life is like a car elevator, it goes up and it goes down.
might be time for you to create an up for your Self.

  12. Anna Romney is an awful woman.

  13. Anne

  14. You lost Ohio because you thought Sen Portman's ground game of blue haired volunteers would deliver the state. The campaign in Boston barely spoke to the Ohio people. It's Portman's fault.

  15. Stop talking about these people!

  16. No-one can fully imagine the hurt and disappointment they are going through, but it sure is fun to try.

  17. you know, looking at the two of them makes me think that that failed remake of The Stepford Wives was actually a more insightful piece of social commentary than I'd given it credit for......

  18. What happened? Nate Silver's blog indicated he had over 90% chance of losing according to the majority of the polls. Why not just admitting the obvious that "our internal polls were wrong".

  19. Their skin is so freakishly smooth. When the sun comes up and it's time for bed, do they crawl into caskets filled with olive oil?

  20. You'll notice neither admitted that Romney lost because of his backward, anti-progressive social ideology. You can't have mid-20th Century values and expect to be successful in the 21st Century.

  21. I get the feeling every ounce of simulated human emotion Ann is capable of showing is summoned solely for the cameras. Behind the scenes it's either cold contempt for her staff, or "kill 'em with kindness" Mormon Mom treacle for her fellow "church" members. Oh, and a "what haven't I done for you!?!" martyr act aimed at Mittens and the kids.

Only Rafalka knows the true Ann, and he would trample her to death given half a chance.

  22. I'd rather read an interview with the horsie.

    Posted by: BobN | Mar 4, 2013 3:53:53 PM

  23. Well of COURSE they gave their first interview to Faux News. Losers talking to losers about losing. Wake me when it's over.

  24. Just looking at mitt's facial expression here brings back election campaign shudders. So glad I won't have to see his mug in the white house every week with that condescending smirk.

  25. Delusional. The polls WERE NOT close. That is a fact confirmed by Nate Silver.
