    What you probably heard was from the far-right fanatically religious types of which plenty reside in Delaware itself.

    Some of whom are questioning the need of DE marriage equality given that DE civil unions are supposed to provide a lot of what equal marriage would provide minus the equality and the dignity that only full marriage provides.

    Civil unions are a miserably failed experiment in some states like New Jersey. So of course Delaware gay couples would prefer full civil marriage over civil unions.
