Russell Brand Tweets Gay Kiss Photo

Kiss

Russell Brand likes to open his FX talk show by proving he's live.

Last night his method of proof was asking two male audience members to kiss so he could post it instantly to his Twitter account.

  1. I look forward to a day when a picture of two guys kissing isn't newsworthy.

  2. Don't think ole Russ is a homophobe, but I don't like this. It's objectification of homosexuality, especially male homosexuality. "Ooooh, look at those two guys making out, making a scene!"

That's one thing we're still behind on. Simply being portrayed as normal couples.

  3. He could have taken the pic while prerecording the show, and then when the show aired, posted the pic on his Twitter account.

    Denial much Brickman.

  8. Good lord. You ladies can complain about literally anything.

  9. One of my nightmares is being viewed as part of a normal couple. To quote Morrissey: 'There is no such thing as normal.' Statistically, we're not normal, but life is not lived by statistics.

  10. It would be nice if guys could just kiss without the automatic presumption. I've kissed straight male friends. My father certainly has too.

  11. Don't worry Tim.

  12. Yes, Gigi and Francis. Totally agree. This is the same thing Jimmy Kimmel did with his "guess the gay" audience participation game. I too am looking forward to the day when we are just normal couples, nothing to see here, and not punchlines to a joke or subjects in an exercise in stereotypes.

  13. Were we supposed to find this funny? Because it's just stupid.
