The Coolest Astronaut on the ISS Says Good-bye With Completely Amazing Music Video: WATCH

Over the past few months I've been posting videos of Commander Chris Hadfield aboard the International Space Station educating the public about various things that happen in space (like how astronauts sleep, what happens to tears when you cry, what happens to a washcloth when you wring it out, and what rocket launches look like).

Hadfield, a Canadian, is leaving the ISS and coming back to Earth tonight. For his farewell, he recorded a revised version of David Bowie's "Space Oddity", the first music video made in space. I think you'll agree Hadfield is the coolest guy to ever orbit the Earth.

Hadfield transferred command of the ISS to Russian cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov at 3:40 pm ET today. He'll be headed home soon.

And his reflections on his mission:

Minneapolis Restaurant Wants to Host State's First Gay Wedding

Hell's Kitchen, a Minneapolis restaurant, wants a piece of the equality:

Hellskitchen_cakeAnticipating that within the next few days, same-sex marriage will finally be signed into Minnesota law, Hell's Kitchen would like to congratulate our beloved GLBT community with a free wedding celebration for one same-sex couple wishing to marry on Thursday, August 1, the very first day it will finally be possible.

Our wedding for up to 100 guests will include champagne, a beautiful dinner buffet, bartenders, servers (who love to gussy up for weddings), candles, linen-covered tables, live music during dinner, and even free parking. Not wanting to miss out on this privilege, the Pastry Chefs at Angel Food Bakery will provide a gorgeous rainbow wedding cake surrounded by a spectacular array of pride cupcakes on sparkling tiered platters. "But wait! There's more!" Once we've cleared the floor for dancing, DJ Shannon Blowtorch has offered to rock the walls of history with an after-party til 2am.

You're of course free to have the actual ceremony elsewhere at your own expense before your celebration at Hell's Kitchen, but if you want to get married on our stage, we'll even provide the officiants, because not just one, but TWO of our owners (Mitch and Tony) are non-denominational ordained ministers. Trust us, they take this honor seriously.

If you and your future spouse are interested in being considered, please send an email to by midnight, May 28. No "rules for entering" bla bla bla; just email us a note, and on June first, we will choose from those letters one Minnesota same-sex couple to receive a helluva great celebration on us. And if by chance you want to make further history by being the first same-sex couple married in Minnesota, we'll even host your wedding event at 12:01am.

The Senate has scheduled debate to begin at 12 pm (1 pm ET)  tomorrow on the marriage equality bill.

Roger Federer and Andy Murray: Gay Man in Pro Tennis Should Have No Problem

Andy Murray and Roger Federer were asked in Rome today how they would feel about an out gay player in men's tennis.

Said Federer: Federer

"I don't think it would be a problem. We're very relaxed. We don't play a team sport and see each other all the time. ... We're very open. So whatever happens, happens. I don't know if there are any (gay players). So far from what I've heard, no. But that could change, possibly because of the case in the NBA."

Said Murray:

"I would hope there are no issues on the tour. You know, there have to be some players who are probably gay but I don't think other players have any issues with it and hope tennis deals with this well. I saw the Jason Collins thing in basketball and the player and the owners were respectful and happy about his decision and so I think it is a good thing."

Last week, Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish became the first pro tennis players to sign on to the LGBT anti-homophobia group Athlete Ally.
