I just assumed that mother’s day was another holiday manufactured by either Hallmark, the confectionery or flower industry to stimulate business.

I used to love eating my father’s rear end after a long day of work, and my typical effeminate mother said “No, Rick. That’s not what boys are supposed to do.”
Wasn’t she selfish? I hate her for that.

No mention that the first Mother’s Day was held in Grafton and that West Virginia was the first state to officially declare Mother’s Day as a holiday.
