Hate Groups To Protest In Front OF HRC Headquarters

Several anti-gay organizations plan to hold a rally at the main office of the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, D.C. this Tuesday at 11am. According to a press release, the wingnuts intend to "express their objections" to pride month as well as sound off on their claim that the HRC committed a crime by publishing a NOM tax document. Taking part in this hateful rally will be the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania, Apologetics Group, the Liberty Counsel Action and Mission America.

HrcFrom the press release:

Peter LaBarbera, President of the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, explained: "On Tuesday morning we will gather in front of the world's most powerful homosexual lobby group, Human Rights Campaign, in Washington, D.C., during so-called 'Gay Pride Month' (June) to proclaim the politically incorrect truth: that proud homosexuality is against God; against Nature; very unhealthy; and a serious threat to children and religious freedom. Thankfully, it is also changeable -- as proved by the existence of countless thousands of happy former 'gay' men and ex-lesbians.

"Our bottom line is that homosexuality is nothing to be proud of. In fact, practicing homosexual behavior, a destructive sin, is something to be ashamed of. Out-and-proud homosexualism -- far from being a 'human right' -- is actually a human wrong."

"We will also testify to the lies, dirty tricks, anti-democratic bullying, hate-mongering and intimidation that have fueled the advance of so-called 'gay rights' in America. Recently such tactics surfaced again when HRC obtained and published leaked IRS filings from a pro-natural-marriage group, which it used to attack the donors to Mitt Romney's campaign in an election year," Mr. LaBarbera said.

"It's not surprising that HRC has inroads into the most corrupt presidential administration in history," said Matt Barber of the Liberty Counsel. "The HRC is following the tactics of Saul Alinsky as detailed in his manifesto 'Rules for Radicals.' President Obama and his IRS are evidently aiding and abetting this radical organization. Because sexual anarchist groups like the HRC cannot win the debate on the merits, they must resort to underhanded and, as it now appears, outright illegal tactics in order to gain momentum for their extremist agenda," Barber said.

  1. Maybe the homocons who whine about Pride every year can join them.

  2. It's not necessary to present the hateful statements of the homophobes in excruciating detail. We shouldn't be affording them free broadcast opportunities.

  3. These haters should come to Philadelphia next Sunday June 9th, where they could see a great gay pride parade in Center City and party with about 25,000 LGBT folks and their straight friends at a festival at Penn's Landing. They would see so many people having fun and celebrating gay pride as an antidote to their sad and dreary hate.

  4. Words I've always lived by: "Homosexuality is not a sin. Atheism is not a sin...sin is an imaginary disease invented to sell you an imaginary cure."

  6. The fact that they think the HRC is a radical, sexual anarchist group pretty much sums up how absurdly out of touch they are. Rally on!

  7. It's noteworthy that there's not a whole lot of space in front of HRC's building, so I'm guessing they're not expecting a large crowd.

  8. As far as I can tell, this isn't exactly the A list of gay-hater organizations, or even the B or C list. the anti-gay stuff is laughable, but really the funniest line of all was calling Obama "the most corrupt administration in American history". This is guaranteed to be a freak show.

  9. These nuts always come back to the same thing, there desire to keep the word of the bible as the law of the land that is in and of itself unconstitutional. Go back to your Church's and leave the country alone to progress to a peaceful and hate-less society. Reglion the root of almost every war.

  12. They've spent years doing nothing but social climbing and spending donation money on luxury vacations....It's no big surprise they won't be ready for the real battles....

  13. The wingnuts must be getting hard up for cash, and this is their way of drumming dollars out of the conservatards. The more coverage the nets and mainline press give them, the more money they bilk out of the "faithful." Ignore these people, and their money supply will dry up, simple as that. But will the nets and the press -- all owned by right-wing corps -- do that?? Just watch the evening snooze and find out.

  15. I can't wait to see pictures of the tens of supporters that show up. It'll be a who's who of anti-gay nobodies.

  16. Time to get out the balloons full of piss. Or water if the former would be an illegal act.

  17. I hope HRC suddenly decides to blast Lady Gaga at full force on speakers in the street all afternoon long.

  18. By use of the word "sin" they have lost the power of sensible people. Sin is a ridiculous concept, and besides that it rocks.

Oh, and MateoM finally said something enjoyable to read.

  19. You know someone is a wingnut when they think HRC is a radical organization. On can hardly imagine an organization less radical (or less effective)than HRC.

  23. HRC is radically? I have never thought about that since HRC rarely helped the ballots in 4 states. They are just cocktail party.

    Posted by: Neal | Jun 2, 2013 3:33:33 PM

  24. HRC should serve them soda and cookies. And use it as an educational opportunity. Then people should ask the protesters on camera to condemn the polygamists and slaveowners in the bible. Which the protesters won't do because otherwise they'd be admitting the bible was written by polygamists and slaveowners.

  25. Simply ignore them, all they want is attention.
