  1. wow, that Steve Jobs clip was oddly prophetic in it's forecast. Lost too soon

  2. Steve's analogy about rock sediment was perfect for the way most technologies are developing. For instance, a "hard drive" of today is practically nothing like what we considered a hard drive fifteen years ago. They're almost two difference sciences.

It's unreal to think that it used to take THOUSANDS of 5¼" or 3.5" floppy disks to store a fraction of what we can store in a micro card the size of a fingernail.

  3. FFS, Steve Jobs was a hack, you know how you can tell? All of the crap he made is pathetic, proprietary niche that is in no way revolutionary. He made computers that were slightly different from the other computers. If he was so goddamned amazing why hasn't he brought any real innovation to the game? Where is his cell phone that can deftly juggle voip and cell services? Where is his open os that people can customize to insane levels while also supporting the technologically inept? He didn't create Ubuntu, he didn't give us a great new programming language. He made something that will get smaller and tighter with time, SMALLER AND TIGHTER.
