Cannes' Gay Palme D'Or Winner 'Blue is the Warmest Color' Gets a Domestic Trailer: VIDEO

Blue is the Warmest Color, Abdellatif Kechiche's romantic, coming-of-age lesbian drama, is opening stateside in October. It won the coveted Palme D'Or at Cannes in May and stirred controversy with its graphic sex scenes, which aren't featured in this new domestic trailer.

Also not featured: a single line of dialogue.

  4. Re the observation that it's dialogue-less, this is very common in US for trailers of foreign language films. ("Mustn't scare people away by being foreign" philosophy.)

  5. I saw it in Toronto at the festival a couple of weeks ago. It is three hours of "meh" with a few REALLY explicit sex scenes thrown in. One with a guy. I can't imagine it could avoid an NC17 rating.
