House Speaker John Boehner Secures Meeting Room for Anti-Gay Group Barred from Senate by Mark Kirk

This morning we reported that Senator Mark Kirk had barred  the virulently anti-gay World Congress of Families from meeting in the Senate's Dirksen office building, but apparently the group has found a safe haven at a House office building thanks to Speaker John Boehner, Buzzfeed reports:

BoehnerWorld Congress of Families president Allan Carlson praised Boehner’s intervention at in opening remarks at the event, which is focusing on what “pro-family legislators” can learn from foreign laws like Russia’s ban on “promoting non-traditional sexual relationships to minors.”

“At least in the House of Representatives people have not succumbed to the great fear” of LGBT activists, Carlson said, likening the situation to developments in Germany, France, and Italy as fascism took hold of Europe. “A great fear seems to be descending over what has been called the world’s greatest deliberative body … ideas are being suppressed, debate is being shut off, and minds are being closed.”

I swear they are digging themselves deeper and deeper into a hole that they will not be able to climb out of in 2016.

Really, Boner? Would you be as open to an LGBT group using the Dirksen Office Building To hold a rally or is this more of your Anti-Gay bias coming to light? I’ll never forgive you for using my tax dollars to mount a defense of DOMA when a majority of American citizens do not have a problem with LGBT people. Remember this after the 2014 elections when you go bye-bye!

Is Boehner brain-damaged? He seems barely functional. When was the last time he cried in public? Let’s give him something to cry about in 2014 and 2016.

    do they hear themselves?

Here’s hoping Obama and his team get the ACA debacle behind them soon so the self-inflicted (!) Obamacare problems can’t be used against the Dems (any more than has been usual) in the 2014 mid-year elections. I really, really, REALLY want the House to revert back to Pelosi and the Democrats. I’ve had way more than enough of Boehner and his obstructionist bunch!

Boner’s just trying to save his ass. He thinks if he sucks up to these haters it will earn him points with the baggers who want to primary him next year.

I too am VERY glad everyone hates this guy. Make sure you demonstrate that hate when you go to the polls and vote every Republican out of office. Biggest hate group in America: Republicans

World Congress of Families president Allan Carlson likes Russia’s ban on “promoting non-traditional sexual relationships to minors.”

Does that mean he’ll be promoting traditional sexual relationships to minors?

Shame on Boehner for pandering to anti-gay terrorists who are violating federal American law promoting ILLEGAL anti-American, anti-freedom unconstitutional, inhumane, fascist, barbaric Naziesque (Hitler’s Nuremberg laws included persecutions of gay people), human and civil rights violating policies that encourage rape, torture, beating, imprisonment/encampment, silencing, and murder of LGBT human beings and straight allies including people of faith.

They are threatening the lives of millions of American citizens – citizens who pay taxes therefore BY LAW are required to be protected (not that anybody should have to pay taxes in order to be protected by the government but it is a fact that the government takes money out of our paychecks) from these hate mongers by, but not limited to, the INGRATE John Boehner. He will be held accountable and punished for his illegal actions and complicity to these fascist evil, blood thirsty, hate monger terrorists.

Isn’t time for the LGBT Community to target Boehner for his homophobia? I mean it is quite evident he hates gay people and is against their equality. First, ENDA, where he has no understanding that in 29 one can still be fired for being a gay American, and now supporting a group that wants to instill draconian suppression of Gay rights and equality. Isn’t it time to do something here?!

Interesting how this is midwest Republican vs midwest Republican–an Illinois senator vs an Ohio congressman. The Republican Party is like those church denominations that are tearing themselves apart over whether or not to extend justice and equality to gay people. It’s nice to watch our enemies devour each other. It’s nice to be on the winning side no matter what they do.

Leave it to John Boehner to step in and do the wrong thing. I can say with certainty that there has never been a more despicable, craven, morally-bereft politician than John Boehner. These are things that make me loathe and despise Republicans and the evangelical effluvia that support them more and more each passing day. I no longer feel any remorse by saying the only good Republican is a stone-cold, dead Republican.

Boner represents the incredibly stupid face of today’s GOP. The moderate GOP (I suppose there ARE some left) say they want to distance themselves from the Tea-bagibans but they have shown a remarkable hesitancy to even try to stop this lunatic (and dangerous) tribe of nut-cases. It’s time for some serious action on the part of the moderates to stand up and say no to them. …or are they going to continue to be sniveling cowards? I fear the latter, so to say.
