Spoiler: The Grinch finished first this year.

  1. really nice photos. i could never do it. living in phoenix i start to cry if the lows for the day are under fifty. this week the highs are mid-seventies and i'm still freezing. anything under 80 is frigid.

  2. @ASCANIUS1 It's so funny, I was at Fashion Square this weekend and saw at least three people in furs.... It was like 58 out, we Arizonans are wusses when it comes to the cold!

  7. Andor needs to stand up in that big group picture. He has a nice Dominican bulge.

  8. I love how the charity element of this doesn't get mentioned at all. Shows you what this is really about.

  9. It was impressive to see how much money was raised by this event. What a fun way to help out this holiday season. Congrats to all who participated.

  11. Meanwhile the Santa Skivvies Run in San Francisco went on yesterday, on a warm day after a cold spell (cold by Bay Area standards). Hopefully there will be an article on that too - it was run as a fund raiser for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

  12. @Pablo: keep in mind that the media's view of the event, the participants' view, and the organizers' view, are not necessarily the same.

In the San Francisco one, lots of people piled into a bar called The Lookout adjacent to the start and end point. One guy had a sash that he was given for being the top fund raiser. Chances are, that would not be reported in the press. The web side for people preregistering encouraged participants to try to raise money, but you could just show up at the day of the event as well.

I'd imagine things were similar at the Boston event. BTW, unless Andy was there ahead of time or talked to the organizers, it would be pretty difficult for him to get those details, and someone might have just sent him the video with little additional explanation.
