Madonna and Adele to Collaborate: REPORT

Adele Spr_madonna

Madonna has turned to Adele for help putting together a "grown up" album of ballads, the Mail Online reports:

Queen of reinvention Madge has asked the 25-year-old songstress to help her, promising in return to write a song for Adele's next record.  'They have met in London and plan  a writing session to produce a track for each other's new albums,' says a source close to 55-year-old Madonna.

  2. Madonna needs to avoid this like the plague.

PS. Its the daily mail, not a credible source.

  4. This is exactly what Madonna should be doing... which is why I think it's probably not true.

Madonna these days is more interested in wearing gold grills, dating 20-year-olds and partying with her 13-year-old son and his friends. There's no way in hell a person doing all that would go for an "adult" sound.

  6. Sorry, but Madonna ain't got the vocal chops to stand with Adele and sing.

  7. Adele has a great voice. Madonna better lip synch.

  8. The article didn't say they were singing together, just songwriting. People love to disparage Madonnas talents, and while she's not the best singer or the best with lyrics, she is a talented singer and songwriter, and has been on top for 30 years, and she consistently attracts the best artists to collaborate with her... That should tell you something; people in the business recognize her genius. No matter how many cone bras you wear, how many controversies you create, you can't sustain that without having real talent. I was at karaoke last night and two of her songs were sung (badly) but they were among the most fun of the evening. I look forward to what they will create together.

  11. GRAPH, lol!!! singer/songwriter??! Are you kidding me? HUSTLE is why Madonna is at the top.

Rihanna to Miley ARE Madonna's kids. Entertainers, that's it.

  12. Yeah, and also Pharell and Timbaland never had another hit after working with Madonna. Hahaha.

  13. First good idea Madonna has in years. Frankly her lead single of her last album sounded lik a Hanna Montana song.

An adult sound could work for her. Radio suffers of ageism, but there's always buzz about Madonna's new songs, so maybe if she sends a good one, this time will work

  14. @ROWAN: Golden Globe award for Evita. She proved she can sing. As I said, she's not the best, but she does have a pleasant voice that's delighted fans for 30 years.
Songwriter? Yes, again, look at her extensive back catalogue. You can hate her if you want, but Frozen, Ray of Light, Music, Like a Prayer, Vogue, Live to Tell, Masterpiece (Golden Globe winning song), Express Yourself, Keep it Together, Papa Don't Preach, Beautiful Stranger, Deeper and Deeper, Erotica, Hung Up, Open Your Heart, Get Together, Beat Goes On, Miles Away, Human Nature, Rain, Secret, Turn Up the Radio, Jump... these are all catchy, likeable, frequently... dare I say it, profound... songs. That's at least 20 more songs than you have likely written, and more hits than any other woman in recorded history. Yah, I still say she's a talented songwriter.

  17. Madonna will come near Adele's vocal gifts, but she's quite capable of doing ballads ("Love Tried To Welcome Me" is one of my favorite M songs) and it's about time that she cast off the desperation to stay youthful and relevant (never works!) and consider age-appropriate material. If true, it could actually be an interesting collaboration, and it's been a while since I thought of interesting in relation to Madonna.

  18. oops, missed a "never" between will and come.

  19. Madonna has done many "grown up" ballads and even has a compilation album called somthing to remeber which came out in 1995 and sold 7 million records, people judge her on her curreny style and forget how many classic records she has, and how varied her music has been over the last 30 years, she has sold 300 million albums for a reason, shes the biggest solo touring artist in the world for a reason
