Ellen Page Issues Brilliant Response To Anti-Gay Pastor On Twitter

Ellen_pageJuno and Inception actress Ellen Page responded to an anti-gay pastor via Twitter this weekend by saying that despite her recent coming out she does not "believe" she is gay nor is her soul struggling. Oh, and that she'd love a girl-cuddle right about now.

The anti-gay tweet that compelled Ms. Page to respond is not available on Twitter, but her response is still worth reading.

It goes, "2 da Pastor who wrote me-Being gay isn't a belief. My soul isnt struggling& I don't want arms of Heavenly Father around me.A girls arms? Yes."

Did we mention that Page will also play Kitty Pryde in X-Men: Days of Future Past?

@SAM Page didn’t hide her sexuality, she just wasn’t out to you but she was out to her friends, family, and coworkers in movies and in Hollywood. Just because the general public didn’t know doesn’t mean she was closeted. She never said she was straight. Plus, people come out at different times in their lives. She’s only 27.

this proves Ellen Page is a class act! Her response to this pastor is a perfect response to someone without attacking them, being defensive, etc, but certainly gets the point across

Sam (aka Rick), don’t you continue to be in the closet entirely? You rag on Ellen Page for being closeted and yet you post under dozens of different names so as to make your comments and your presence on this site as anonymous as possible.
