Larry King: 'Yes There'll Be A Gay President' - VIDEO

Larryking

Larry King appeared on The Rubin Report to talk with Dave Rubin about civil rights in the 1950's, his perspective on the gay rights movement, and what we might see happen in the 2016 election. Along the way he dropped in some stories about drinking at "colored only" water fountains in Miami ("It was good water!") to predicting that eventually, "yes there'll be a female president, yes there'll be a gay president."

  1. We've already had a gay president. Special "Gay Jeopardy" Bonus Pints if you can name him.

  2. David, obviously we refer to openly gay when we talk about having a gay President. People who campaign and it is known and accepted they are gay. Seems like Maine is going to elect the first openly gay governor. We have a lesbian Senator. We're getting there.

  3. James Buchanan, David!! (He wasn't a very good president, but most of the guys leading up to and right after the Civil War don't score very highly in retrospect, except obviously Abraham Lincoln.)

  5. Funny isn't it, history provides great men when they're needed, our founding fathers got us going, then Abraham Lincoln got us through an inevitable war, then Rooseveldt another. Then the mediocrities have their day because that's all we need. Too bad the gay one was in the last category.

  6. Not just Buchanan. There's also been some intriguing speculation about Franklin Pierce and eve (to a lesser extent) George Washington.

  7. Congratulations, DBACK.

I was going to say Vladimir Putin, but then I realized I had the wrong country.

    I've always liked Larry King.

  8. Franklin Pierce was handsome-like male model handsome. Sad, tragic life though. Personally I've always thought that handsome bear Ulysses Grant was pretty hot-but Lincoln just gets to me. He's so ugly he's almost beautiful, and knowing everything he went through I just want to give him a big hug and kiss (which his "friend" Joshua Speed said he was very, very fond of-at least with him).

  9. Joshua Speed said he was fond of kissing Lincoln? Then that means an erection. Now I'm listening.
