I love Panti. He is an incredible orator.

I have watched his speech several times and each time I well up in tears by it.

When I and all of us now here are dead, let it be remembered forever that at the beginning of the twenty first century a religious church designated gay people as “intrinsically disordered”.

Let the phrase “intrinsically disordered” take it place with the phrase ‘untermenschen’ of the nineteen thirties.

And thank you forever Miss Panti.
You are saying the magic words, you are saying them for all of us.

  3. Tony says

Sorry, but I don’t think a drag queen named “Pandora Panty Bliss” is the best spokeswoman for gay men. This kind of thing simply reinforces the homophobic stereotype that gay men want to be girls.

    @ TONY :

You obviously have no clue about the Court Case behind Miss Panti’s definitive speech.

She was sued because she expressed free speech.
The extreme right wingers in Ireland sued her.
I think most people know enough of us to appreciate that we don’t want to be girls !

  5. Qj201 says

You are right Tony, would you like to get in a time machine and tell the drag queens and trans girls NOT to riot, because it might just stereotype gay men?

  6. Daniel says

Tony, sorry but I don’t think that uptight gay men who are so upset about being considered effeminate that they feel the need to disparage anyone who doesn’t fit into their tight little definition of what it takes to be a man is a good spokesperson for gay men either. It simply reinforces cultural oppression of men who don’t fit into that narrow field. A man in a dress often has a lot more courage than a man trying to pass as straight.

  7. marc says

Wow Tony, Guess what? Rory (Panti) doesn’t want to be a woman either. It’s just how he entertains (IE: JOB).
He is being sued for calling out a homophobe as homophobic, and that’s all you can say?

I think Tony might know Rick very well–especially when there is a mirror in view.
