  2. If ABC pulls the plug on "The View," does that mean Whoopi Goldberg can take over for Letterman in a couple years?

  3. I wish Gilda Radner was still alive to commemorate the day.

  4. Barbara Walters should write an autobiography, not to be released until 10 years after her death, and really let it all hang out.

If she dished, it would be great.

  5. Good riddance!
She has weighed down The View for several years. She was a pioneed for many, but it's definitely overdue.

  7. Does that include those insufferable celebrity interviews pre-Oscar, too?

  9. She opened a lot of doors but The View was the low point of her career. I had never seen a place where so many stupid people are given chance to air simplistic and condensed opinions on stuff they know nothing about.

At least until Twitter came on the scene.

  10. She should have retired 50 years ago. She is AWFUL.
She was a pathetic "journalist" and she has been a boring, whishy-washy TV presenter always too scared to actually say anything interesting. She has made the show SO boring because she is always too scared to make a stand on anything.

I am glad she is going.

  11. I will truly miss Barbara so much for her kindess & objectively during the many heated discussions on The View.
She is a very fine lady which shows in her appearance in spite of her age.

I pray Love & Blessings to follow her in all of her endeavors after retirement.
