Davey Wavey Makes Two Shirtless Hunks Embrace While Discussing Why Straight Guys Never Hug: VIDEO

Screen Shot 2014-05-24 at 7.31.38 AM

The always-adorable Davey Wavey brings two ostensibly heterosexual men along with him to film his newest YouTube video, titled: "Straight Boys Hugging!"

While they do, in fact, embrace, the three men first discuss the generalized reasoning behind heterosexual men's fear of hugging one another. The conversation may not be intellectually stimulating, but sometimes it's simply nice to see two guys hug it out.

Check out the hetero-action, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Others can debate their "straightness". Both appeared on gay porn site Randy Blue as Kurt Madison & Chip Tanner.

  2. Davey Wavey is adorable and fun! I love his YouTube site.

  4. Straight? Couldn't he get one of the guys from Duck Dynasty and a player from the NBA to do this? I'd actually do pay-per-view for that.

  5. Straight guys do hug. I think you may be thinking of AMERICAN guys.

  6. I don't know, but I see straight American guys hug their straight friends all the time...especially if they haven't seen each other in a long time, or if they won a game after a sporting event, etc.

  7. I would like to congratulate him on purchasing his first shirt.

  8. Agree more or less with Eric. He doesn't create a sense of disgust in me as people like Johnny Weir or Andrew Sullivan do, but I cannot quite understand why he is so popular on youtube. Although I suppose he makes slightly more sense than those semi-attractive gay bloggers who just post thousands of videos of themselves doing random things like going to Whole Foods and kvetching about parking. Who has time to watch those? But using known porn performers to ask a rhetorical question that doesn't even need to be asked? What's the appeal to anyone but a rube? It obvious that normal, well adjusted straight men are hugging each other more often than ever before...and/or wearing tshirts of one another lookin' cute. They no longer fear they will "catch teh gay" from doing so. Have no fear my fellow gays, the young Western heterosexuals (the real ones) have gotten with the program, for the most part. Except the ones like Mormons. I stumbled upon a stand up routine of Chris Elias on youtube where he makes a joke that "if you hate gays, you're gay" and got an uproarious applause from a straight audience. He went onto completely clarify he meant you're a closet case, but the audience already knew that. Twenty years ago he would have gotten tomatoes and rotten eggs.

  9. Funny. But some straight guys never hug, some half-hug, some shake hands, every friend circle has their own way to show unity. No big deal.

  12. I'm compelled to clarify it isn't because he's unambiguously gay acting that I don't like him. It's just that he doesn't strike me as very interesting or funny. Compare with Louis Virtel, who I suscribed to at an early point in his late lamented youtube career. He's brilliantly funny, and super gay acting. Alas, he never got many views and stopped posting.

  13. I'm not buying that there's a straight guy in this video. And yes I know Jackson "confessed" to being straight after being in videos for gay sites, stripping and jacking off for men. He's a shrewd dude... knew he'd make more money with a male audience than female, and then figured out that he'd raise his appeal even more if he became "that straight guy you can't have."

  14. He's femmy and has a nice body. I know lots of gay men who are femmy and have nice bodies: they are NOT 'an insult to and a stereotype of gayness'.

They are real. You may not find them attractive but they exist and it is coming dangerous close to homophobia to discount them as ridiculous or stupid or fake.

  15. Uh lame. These two "straight guys" are both gay porn actors.

  16. I used to like this guy's videos but his messages got a little too pretentious for me. He started acting like god's gift.

  17. Being gay porn stars doesn't preclude being straight.

  18. Straight guys hug all of the time. That's old news.

And honestly, I'm really getting tired of this straight obsession that many gays still seem to have. Yeah, I do think it's good that straight guys in general are becoming less and less homophobic. I get it, and it's good to have straight allies. But so many gay men seem to drool over straights as if they are some kind of ideal. They are not. They are nothing special, and why waste your time on a guy that has ZERO interest in other guys. If some chick was wasting her time chasing gay men, you would all goof on her and call her a faghag and go on about how pathetic she is.

  19. I just this moment realized I am the only male who hugs absolutely everybody in my immediate, blended and extended family. I love it and they all expect it and I'm quite sure it's because I'm gay.

  21. Always adorable Davey Wavey? Maybe to someone who has a highschool mentality. He's like a chattering chipmunk who is tolerable in small doses.
P.S. The other 2 guys don't really seem to be straight. It's all a show.......

  22. Str8 for pay?

  23. It's pathetic that we gays seem endlessly focussed on straight guys and what makes them tick.

I can guarantee that they are not as interested in us.

  24. Based upon what I've seen, when straight guys hug one another, it's a quick swoop in, friendly pat or two on the back, then out again. They never linger or hold the embrace. The half hug is also fairly common, where they angle their bodies away from one another to minimize the amount of contact.

    Posted by: innocentbystander | May 24, 2014 12:27:34 PM

  25. Straight guys hug. If you don't see it, then you need to know more straight guys. The straight guys I know and see everywhere are more affectionate with each other than the gay guys I know and see everywhere.

Casting two gay-porn performers (who are instantly recognizable) as straight guys is beyond bizarre. I am amazed at this guy's staying power. I've never enjoyed a single second of anything of his that I ever saw and can't believe anyone else has either, yet here he still is.

Learning that Louis Virtel gave up trying to be an Internet celebrity has made my entire Memorial Day weekend. Watching his videos was like watching a Twilight Zone episode where somebody is living in a completely different reality than everyone else. You have to be convinced you're hysterical to try to pull something like that off, and I could never understand how he could possibly be convinced of it.
