Seattle Man Confesses to Gay Couple's Murder As 'Vengeance' for U.S. Military Role in Middle East

Ali Muhammad Brown, who was arrested last month for the murders of two gay men in Seattle on June 1, has confessed - saying that he committed the murders as an act of revenge against U.S. military involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.

Brown also confessed to two other separate murders, according to the King County Porosecutor's Office.

BrownThe Los Angeles Times reports:

"My mission is my mission between me and my lord. That's it," Brown said during a jailhouse interview in New Jersey, according to the court filings. "My mission is vengeance, for the lives, millions of lives are lost every day."

"All these lives are taken every single day by America, by this government," Brown continued. "So a life for a life."

Police believe Brown used Grindr to lure Dwone Anderson-Young and Ahmed Said to a Seattle nightclub before shooting them both at close range.

Brown is currently in custody in New Jersey. Law enforcement officials have said he could face the death penalty for the killings.

  1. I guess it's good to be reminded what a potentially crazy world it is out there.

  3. So, leftists...still against the death penalty? Kill this guy. Now. And *all* Muslims while you're at it.

  4. BLACK AND MUSLIM. The two worst things in the world.

  6. This is the second Muslim terrorist attack against gay people in Seattle in less than a year. The FBI had better be infiltrating the local mosques, because they clearly aren't preaching peace.

  7. So glad that two people died so you could find out that God doesn't even exist. I wish there WAS a hell you could roast in.

  10. He should be executed by an all female firing squad. In their warped view of reality, this will deny him martyrdom. Bad muslim, no virgins fir you.

  11. The article fails to mention that Brown was arrested in NJ for murdering a White teenager in cold blood. Brown is a perfect example of why there should be a Death Penalty in every US state. Why should we pay for the toilet paper this animal uses for the rest of his life in prison?

    Posted by: Darren | Aug 24, 2014 10:55:40 AM

  12. Okay. The guy has the same God as Westboro and many others unfortunately - not all Muslim. A reason we should pay for his toilet paper for the rest of his life is that killing him places us on same level with him. The death penalty is actually more expensive than life imprisonment in most cases. Anyway it has long been established that 10% of death penalty guilty verdicts have (or would have) executed an innocent person. There is no mitigating factor regarding evidence quality. Given the awful standards in most government forensic labs, a moratorium would be appropriate.

  13. And the Gays will blame Israel for this in 3....2....1.....

  14. I see we have some pro-death penalty guys. Wouldn't spending the rest of your life in prison be worse than dying? If he's allowed in the prison's main population, he'll be living in hell.

  16. I think b¡tches like this should just automatically dedicate their bodies to medical science research---the longitudinal study kind.

  18. It's wrong for people to blame Grindr for this. These people could have protected themselves by simply saying politely that they don't do Black hookups. I haven't been with a Black in 10 years and I don't plan on changing. Too big a risk.

  20. Funny, Rochon, how in 3, 2, 1, 0...oh wait, you're the only one who mentioned Israel. Moron.

Thank you, Markt, for the only intelligent comment in this thread.

Towleroad comments really have been taken over by a serious troll problem.

  21. This guy is clearly presenting with a mental illness. His explanation for his behavior isn't sensical. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'm concerned about trying to successfully treat him - especially given the likelihood that he wouldn't comply with treatment long-term. Some people cannot be allowed to live in society; and some of those people are too dangerous to house with other people, period. Solitary confinement is inhumane; for *some* people the death penalty may be the best solution we have.

  22. what this guy did was atrocious! He sounds cuckoo for cocoa puffs along with severe religiosity, which is a dangerous combination.............
I hope he gets what he deserves, but under the law he may be found incompetent because he sounds severely mentally ill..........

  23. But, but Muslims are our friends.

  24. @Merv @Kipp : Let's see. This guy uses Grindr to target gays as retribution for U.S. invasions/wars that occurred before DADT was repealed and when gays were officially banned from the military.

Kipp is right - the guy is bonkers. I might add, however, that the "handouts" (medication and mental-health care in this case) that conservatives loath just might be cheaper than paying the FBI to try to find mentally ill individuals who are not part of any organized group, not to mention the damage that these people do before being caught. In the case of Brown, he killed 4 adults. The cost of raising children is roughly $250,000 per child in the U.S., so we can figure that the minimum financial damage this guy caused is $1 million (actually, it is much more). Compared to that, mental health care is cheap.

Merv's idea of having the FBI infiltrate U.S. mosques is kind of useless for catching people who don't go to mosques: the news article didn't mention any that this guy might have attended. You don't have to be religious to talk to "God" - a lack of Prozac would suffice.

  25. That's a pretty convoluted reason to find victims through grindr... are you sure no part of you liked all the naked torsos???
