The late night hosts ruthlessly mocked Trump’s “working vacation” last night and Seth Meyers was no exception, starting with Trump’s tweet declaring his vacation “not a vacation.”
Working in Bedminster, N.J., as long planned construction is being done at the White House. This is not a vacation – meetings and calls!

“‘Meetings and calls’ sounds like how an eight-year-old would describe an adult job.”
Meyers then mocked a video that showed up online of Trump leaping from a golf cart to accost a wedding party at his Bedminster golf club.
“First of all, what are you wearing? You’re the president. Not a hungover cruise director. Second, is there anything scarier than Trump walking into your wedding and going ‘where’s the bride?’ Followed by ‘come on!'”
Meyers then played a series of clips of Trump attacking Obama for being on the golf course too much.
Said Meyers: “To be clear I’m not criticizing Trump for taking vacations. I’m criticizing him for being a lying hypocrite!”
Meyers then asked what Trump has done to deserve a vacation, and turned to the “Real News” propaganda videos starring Kayleigh McEnany that he has started to put out online to show Americans everything that he has done.
Quipped Meyers: “God, that was like state news crossed with a school announcement. ‘It’s pizza day in the school cafeteria but you won’t hear that from the failing New York Times!'”
Finally, Meyers noted that Trumpworld seems to be trying to find an enemy to focus on to turn the base’s eyes away from the Russia investigation, before playing a montage of FOX News clips which feature a different reality, one in which it appears Hillary Clinton is president:
“What’s becoming clear is that Trump and his allies have no record of their own to champion, so instead they need a villain, and they’ve decided they’d rather live in a world where Hillary Clinton was president rather than Donald Trump.”
