Bryan Fischer Wants Every Presidential Candidate Asked If They Think Being Gay Is A Choice: VIDEO

Ridiculous nutjob Bryan Fischer is deep into a love-in with homophobe Ben Carson following the latter’s statement that prison sex proves that homosexuality is a choice, reports Right Wing Watch.

Sex-obsessed Fischer said that Carson’s latest hateful drivel sets "the benchmark for the other Republican candidates" and has called for all GOP candidates to be forced to state for the record whether they believe that being gay is a choice:

"I hope they are asked this question. I want every single Republican candidate on record: Do you think that homosexual conduct is a choice? I want every GOP presidential candidate to be asked that question and to be put on record. Do you believe that homosexuality is a choice? What is your answer?"

AFA Unveils 'Bigotry Map' of Allegedly 'Anti-Christian' Groups - VIDEO

The American Family Association has always protested being listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and despite them complaining about it their status remains because...well...they're a hate group. They deliberately spread lies, falsifications, and try to engender hate and discrimination against gays. This is provable, verifiable fact.

In response, the AFA has now created a "Bigotry Map" that points out organizations across the U.S. that promote the homosexual agenda, atheism, humanism, and are anti-Christian, and of course the SPLC is listed. Yes, the AFA has resorted to the "I'm rubber, you're glue" defense. Also, the AFA has highlighted that they don't understand the definition of "bigot" as an atheist group is no more a collection of bigots than the local religious group unless members of said group are actively discriminating against others for their differently-held beliefs.

Speaking on his show Focal Point, bigot Bryan Fischer is gleefully convinced that Right Wing Watch is in an absolute froth over this. As Joe Jervis points out, though, not so much.

Bryan Fischer Says Same-Sex Marriage Mandate in Alabama is 'Slavery' At the Hands of the 'Gay Gestapo' - VIDEO

Screen Shot 2015-02-12 at 7.25.17 PM

On yesterday's American Family Association radio program, Bryan Fischer called U.S. District Judge Callie Granade’s potential mandate on issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in Alabama a form of "slavery," brought about by the "gay gestapo."

Said Fischer:

"When you are ordered by an agent of the government to violate your own conscience in something that you do, that is slavery. If you are forced to violate your conscience to do work, that is slavery. If you are forced to violate your conscience that is tyranny…that is the gay gestapo at work, 'you either do what we tell you or you’re gonna get punished.'"

Obama 'Not A Christian' If He Supports Gay Marriage, Says Bryan Fischer: VIDEO

The title pretty much says it all: because President Obama supports the right for gay couples to be legally wed in the U.S., AFA bigot Bryan Fischer says that Obama is not actually a Christian. If you ever had any doubt as to what was meant by the "No True Scotsman Fallacy", this is practically a textbook example.

As if the gatekeeper of true Christendom were a man who calls homosexuality the "unvarnished energy of Satan", thinks that God gets involved in U.S. politics, blamed the victims of Charlie Hebdo for their own murders, and whose own organization is trying - and failing - to distance themselves from his bile. As always, Fischer is the poster child for dinosaurs thrashing about wildly, unable to comprehend that their world is changing.

You can watch the latest instance of said thrashing AFTER THE JUMP...

Southern Poverty Law Center Names And Shames Ben Carson As An Anti-Gay Extremist: VIDEO

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has added possible Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson to its list of anti-LGBT extremists, reports NCRM.

A constant mouthpiece for the religious right, Carson recently suggested that Congress should oust judges who rule in favor of same-sex marriage.

6a00d8341c730253ef01a3fcc5658a970b-piThe SPLC includes in the list a number of names with which regular Towleroad readers will be familiar - Bryan Fischer, Scott Lively (right), Tony Perkins and Fred Phelps.

Carson joins the illustrious list because he has “ascended as a far-right political star after publicly scolding President Obama, whom he sat a few feet away from, at a National Prayer Breakfast in February 2013.”

SPLC adds:

“Carson’s own story as an ‘up by the bootstraps’ black man reared in poverty translated into an inspiring, magnetic narrative that captured media attention. Soon he was appearing as the keynoter at a rash of right-wing and hate group gatherings, linking gays with pedophiles, comparing the U.S. to Nazi Germany and endorsing biblical economic practices for 21st century America”

Also referenced are a number of comments by Carson:

“Marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality—it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition.”

— 2013 interview on Fox News

“[I]f we can redefine marriage as between two men or two women or any other way based on social pressures as opposed to between a man and a woman, we will continue to redefine it in any way that we wish, which is a slippery slope with a disastrous ending, as witnessed in the dramatic fall of the Roman Empire.”

America the Beautiful: Resdiscovering What Made This Nation Great, a 2012 book written with Candy Carlson

“I mean [our government and institutions] are very much like Nazi Germany. …  You know, you had a government using its tools to intimidate the population. We now live in a society where people are afraid to say what they really believe.”

— Quoted by Breitbart News in 2014

Carson us currently flogging his new book You Have A Brain: A Teen's Guide To Thinking Big in which he explains the importance of "Talent, Honesty, Insight, being Nice, Knowledge, Books, In-Depth learning and God." Would that Carson and his kind would heed their own advice.

Anti-Gay Teen Caiden Cowger Attacks 'Lazy' American Family Association For Firing Bryan Fischer: READ

Anti-gay teen activist and Bryan Fischer mini-me Caiden Cowger has taken to his blog to attack the decision of listed hate group the American Family Association (AFA) to remove Fischer from his post as spokesperson, reports Right Wing Watch.

In 2012, Cowger earned some major homophobe brownie points when he called homosexuality a “perversion” and said that President Obama is encouraging kids to be gay.

According to Cowger, the AFA has become lazy, “compliant with liberal organizations” and adverse to freedom of expression.

The try-hard teen also takes on the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for listing the AFA as a hate group. The SPLC, he argues, is “a pro-atheism organization that has fought to remove the ten commandments from court house buildings, and has been recognized by 22 Republican lawmakers (among them Speaker Boehner and Representative Bachmann, three governors, and a number of conservative organizations) for ‘character assassination.’”

“Being a regular listener of Focal Point w/ Bryan Fischer, it is clear that his own organization...took his words out of context and attempted to discredit his views. [In a letter, General Counsel of AFA Patrick Vaughn] inappropriately cited remarks that Fischer said on his radio show along with his own personal interpretations, and then stated that the American Family Association disagreed with his views on those specific matters. This was completely unnecessary, because all of Fischer’s statements are already disclaimed on his radio show at the end of every broadcast, that his views do 'not necessarily reflect those of the American Family Association.'

“If you also notice, the lawyer did not completely quote Fischer’s statements; quotations were used in the same sentence, along with interpretations. That was extremely unprofessional.

“It appears that the American Family Association has become compliant with liberal organizations and while freedom of expression is still allowed on their radio network American Family Radio, it is no longer acceptable in their main organization.”
