Wingnut Bryan Fischer: 'Ordinary Americans' Fed Up With LGBT Advertising - VIDEO

Bryan fischer

Bryan Fischer has warned that advertisers face a backlash from "ordinary Americans" because of ads aimed at the LGBT community.

In recent months there has been a marked increase in LGBT-focused advertising.

A recent spot for Chevrolet which includes both same-sex and single parent families with the voice-over "while what it means to be family hasn't changed, what a family looks like has,” are representative of this shift towards LGBT-friendly advertising.

Speaking to Press Telegram, Bob Witeck, president of strategic communications firm Witeck Communications said:

“What we’re witnessing is the idea that you don’t have to isolate gay ads and messaging to markets only intended for gay people. Families all look different from the traditional family Americans grew up with 50 years ago. They are far more multiracial, more single parents, more gay couples raising kids. If you start leaving them out, you’re not only erasing gay people, but you’re also erasing people who are part of people’s family.”

However, Fischer, Director of Issues Analysis for fundamentalist Christian non-profit group The American Family Association, which maintains OneMillionMoms.com, argued:

“I think eventually this LGBT advertising push is gonna trigger a blowback from ordinary Americans. I think that ordinary Americans are getting fed up with having the homosexual agenda shoved down their throats when they’re watching TV with their families. What American families are gonna begin to react to is that they are recognizing that this is no longer about advertising a product. This is about propaganda for a sexually deviant lifestyle.”

Bryan Fischer Warns of Gay Fairy Tale Book Tainting the 'Tender Young Souls' of Children

PrincesTreasure

The Princes and the Treasure, a revisionist fairy tale which finds its duo of handsome princes (on a quest to save a damsel in distress, mind you) falling in love with each other, is likely sitting on the shelf of your local public library. Written by University of the Pacific professor Jeffrey A. Miles, the book is a welcome and exciting breath of fresh air for a genre which has steadfastly stood by its heteronormative foundations. Bryan Fischer feels differently.

Book Patrol reports:

Bryan Fischer, the director of issue analysis for the nonprofit Christian organization, talked with the Christian Post recently and had these nuggets of close-mindedness to share:

“The stories and the images that children store up in their minds from fairy tales have a very powerful imprinting effect on their tender young souls.”

“And the bottom line is that no responsible library should ever include a book like this on its shelves, and no responsible school should ever use this book as a part of its curriculum."

Unsurprisingly, Fischer's definition of "responsible" lies within a Judeo-Christian value system, one which he believes all families should adhere to.

“Christian parents don’t want to be concerned only about their own children, they want to keep this kind of warped literature out of the hands of other children as well.”

“And if parents want this book for their children, there’s nothing to stop them from going to Amazon and buying it with their own money. But taxpayer dollars should not be spent on tripe like this.”

“[Because] of the power [of] fairy tales, this book is a particularly pernicious form of sexually perverse propaganda.”

Thank you for the words of warning, Mr. Fischer. If you'll excuse me, I have a "pernicious" gay fairy tale to read.

Bryan Fischer Proposes Felony Drug Offender-Style Rehabilitation Program for Gays

Fischer

In a tweet sent out yesterday, American Family Association spokeshater Bryan Fischer proposed that rather than punish homosexuals, perhaps the U.S. can create a rehabilitation program for gays - not unlike the ‘drug court’ rehab option for nonviolent felony drug offenders.

Good ole Bryan, always looking out for our best interests.

Bryan Fischer Says Michael Sam Has a Bomb Under the Floorboards Of His Life: VIDEO

Bryan Fischer Focal Point

Hot on the tails of saying that Michael Sam needs therapy and comparing his orientation to a concussion, Bryan Fischer's love affair with Michael Sam continues as he claims that Sam is just a bomb waiting to go off, saying,

[L]iterally has got an improvised explosive device sitting under the floorboards of his life, and the NFL apparently doesn't care.

Ignoring the fact that Fischer doesn't understand the difference between "literally" and "figuratively", he goes on to cite the standard outdated junk health statistics from the 80s and 90s during the height of the AIDS epidemic to assert that Sam is going to shorten his life. If Fischer were really concerned about Sam's health and not just an opportunist troll latching onto the latest trending topic in gay news, he would be addressing the literal (not figurative) concussion rates among defensive ends in the NFL.

Bryan Fischer Says Michael Sam Should Seek Therapy, Compares Him to a 'Brain Concussion'

Bryan Fischer Michael Sam tweet

Because Michael Sam is young, black, and gay, the always-classy Bryan Fischer claims that Sam is the highest at-risk group for contracting HIV and that he should seek therapy

2_samFischer also called Sam "the sexual equivalent of a brain concussion."

The NFL is celebrating the sexual equivalent of a brain concussion by going gaga over Michael Sam’s sexual proclivities.
...
For a league increasingly priding itself on concern for player safety and health, it is bizarre that they are enthusiastically praising a draftee for a lifestyle that could send him to an early grave.

And, of course, no Fischer rant is complete without a double-swipe at both Obama and gays in general, lest anyone forget that he views homosexuality as an utter abomination.

So much for his love affair with black men.

AFA’s Bryan Fischer: ‘Gay Activists Are Like Leeches’ - VIDEO

Screen Shot 2014-04-27 at 4.00.18 PM

American Family Association spokeshater Bryan Fischer is still really upset about Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy’s desire to put the whole anti-gay controversy behind him. Right Wing Watch reports that Fischer used his radio program yesterday to criticize Cathy’s decision to withdraw from the culture war, saying “gay activists are like leeches” for whom no amount of blood is ever enough.

Said Fischer:

“…with the homosexual lobby, you cannot ever give them enough. Don’t even try. There’s no point in making concessions. There’s no point in capitulating. There’s no point in yielding to their demands. There’s no point in offering them some kind of appeasment in the hopes they will leave you alone, that they will leave you in peace. It won’t work.”
