Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy Kiss for Reporters


Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy put on a show of affection for one another at a publicity panel for their forthcoming FOX drama The Following, at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour today, after a reporter noted their chemistry.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the kiss followed a long series of questions about violence and sexual situations:

So it was a mood lightener when a reporter opted to go the fan route, saying that there came a point during the show, which debuts Jan. 21 at 9 p.m., when she wanted Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy's alter egos to kiss.

Moments later, Bacon and Purefoy did just that. "Rule nothing in, rule nothing out,” Purefoy joked following the peck.

James Purefoy on Gay Sex: Never Say Never

PurefoyFans of rugged Brit actor James Purefoy, who plays the metal-clad Marc Antony in Rome, has left things open regarding the types of sexual situations which appeal to him.

Page Six reports that the actor tells Out magazine in a cover story that he'll "never say never" when it comes to sex:

"Anyone who went to an English [private] school in the 1970s will have had some kind of a gay experience. You bang 500 adolescent hormonal boys together at exactly the time when they're exploring their sexuality, and don't be surprised if some shenanigan comes out of it."

Purefoy has already played the object of a gay man's lust on screen, in Rose Troche's 1998 film Bedrooms & Hallways...
