'Mean Girls' Star Daniel Franzese Spoofs Taylor Swift In Thanksgiving Themed 'Shake and Bake' - VIDEO

Shakenbake

In honor of Thanksgiving week, Daniel Franzese has posted a food-and-family themed "Shake It Off" spoof on YouTube called "Shake and Bake." The video features Mean Girls-fave Franzese leading a bevvy of boy and girl dancers in some hot moves involving chicken, Ziplock bags and, of course, Shake n' Bake. There is even a Taylor Swift drag-a-like who Franzese pushes out of the way to get the song started. He also shows off some sexy moves himself, including some Thanksgiving-themed twerking.

The music video is Franzese's second collaboration with Beyonce spoofer Adrian Anchondo (pictured below), who was likely responsible for the fun choreography and diversely sexy group of dancers. (Take notice of a young Jake Gyllenhall-esque chorus boy in a tight 'n revealing leotard @1:40). Their first project together was an October spoof of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" that has received nearly a million hits on YouTube.

Recently, Franzese joined the cast of HBO's Looking and is featured in some teaser scenes from the upcoming Season 2. You can watch the full "Shake and Bake" spoof (along with a special guest appearance by one of his Looking co-stars playing a Pilgrim) AFTER THE JUMP...

One Million Moms Enraged Over 'Kinky Boots' Macy's Parade Performance: VIDEO

Kinky

American Family Association sub-project One Million Moms sent out an action alert to its members today, urging them to voice their disapproval over the fact that Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots was allowed to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Right Wing Watch reports.

The group's action alert reads:

As a parent and a member of OneMillionMoms.com, I am greatly disappointed in your company's choice to include the "Raise You Up" drag performance during your Thanksgiving Day Parade with millions of children present and watching from home. It is inappropriate to highlight cross-dressing in a sexually charged performance during a traditional family activity. Your blatant agenda and in-your-face message was quite offensive, and Macy's cannot be trusted. Shame on Macy's for promoting this behavior.

It is clear that Macy's does not have my children's best interest in mind. I can no longer trust Macy's Dept. Store. Your company needs to know that trust must be earned and once trust is lost it is difficult to get back.

Your decision was irresponsible, especially at an event when families are watching together. Nothing about this particular performance was family-friendly. The ENTIRE parade should be kid-friendly; not 95% of it! Your company can do better than this.

As Matt Lauer noted in his introduction of the musical, it's about learning to celebrate the differences in each other.

Tomorrowland's Forecast: Spending Your Future Holidays with the Robot Relatives - VIDEO

Screen Shot 2013-11-27 at 4.06.27 PM

This is a recurring column related to all things tomorrow - from emerging tech and culture trends to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence to new entertainment and inventions that are helping change the way we experience and understand the world around us. In short, it's a glimpse into what the future might hold for humanity as we try and answer the ever-present question: What happens next?

Conroe ISD RoboticsIf I was to list my favorite part about the Thanksgiving holiday tradition in my family (excluding my mother's fantastic turkey noodle soup of course), it would have to be sitting in front of the TV watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year though, I watched for a special reason, as a Houston-area high school robotics team created a robot that cut the ribbon during the official opening ceremony for the parade.

Nontraditional? Yes. Innovative? Absolutely. A sign of things to come? Perhaps. As technology's capabilities grow, so too will its integration into our everyday lives. But what if this tech becomes so advanced that it stops merely assisting the goals and functions of humans and instead starts becoming an active participant in the world around us? Imagine, if you can, a Thanksgiving dinner in the not too distant future where a life-sized, life-like robot is not only helping you set out the plates and silverware, but also sitting down with the rest of your family at the table, casually discussing its career, its memories from that year, even its hopes and dreams.

A robot with a conscious sounds pretty far fetched right? You might be surprised though with the possibility that this concept has more in common with actual science than science fiction.
