I was aware that pharmacies that develop camera film, like Rite-Aid and Sav-On, have policies to judge certain photos decent or indecent and either print them or not. It’s certainly not a policy that I’ve ever agreed with, however, I was astounded by this article which suggests that Walgreen’s will go so far as to censor a bare male chest. Or perhaps a bare chest on a gay man is more indecent than a bare chest on a straight one? The indecency standards in this country are ridiculous. All I can say is, thank God for digital. Towleroad’s policy on male nipples remains unchanged: publish whenever possible.
