Nando’s Flaming Hot Rugby calendar, which features “almost nude” portraits of members of the South African Springbok rugby team, had been produced and was set for release when the Southeast Asian tsunami happened.
All proceeds from this page-turner, which features 18 players and was shot in South Africa, will now go to tsunami relief. “The players were keen to make a financial contribution to those whose lives have been devastated. As publisher we fully endorsed this decision,” said Kevin Ferguson, the calendar’s publisher. “The calendar contribution will tie in with one of the established relief funds that has been operating since Monday.”
