You read something like the website of Marshall County, Alabama, particularly Sheriff Mac Holcomb’s statement about the good ol’ days of the 40’s and the 50’s and you wonder that there aren’t still lynchings happening in the South. Recently brought to the attention of the world by Don Hunter, an Alabama native who now resides in California, Holcomb’s website and view of the world are a frightening manifestation of the so-called “moral values” facilitating racism, homophobia, sexism, and intolerance in the American south.
