Here’s a selection of dance and electronic music tracks to start the push into summer. I’ll probably add a few more to this list so stay tuned…and enjoy!
1. “Better That U Leave” (Gadjo Remix) — David Morales ft Lea Lorién
Stalk the dancefloor on hands and knees — pulsing bassline, a lot of fun.
2. “Say Somethin'” (Morales Stereo Anthem Mix) — Mariah
A snake charmer coaxing grooves from a basket, Morales works magic.
3. “SOS” (Chris Cox Club / Nevin’s Glam Club Mix) — Rihanna
A “Tainted Love” sample is just the icing on the cake.
4. “Speechless” (King Unique Mix) — Mish Mash
A grower not a shower. Evocations of early disco will delight your ears.
5. “Take Me or Leave Me” (Tracy Young Club Mix) — Rent
Young’s in a good mood with this upbeat opus from the movie musical.
5. “The Love I Lost” (12″ Club Mix) — Alisha King
A less sorrowful cover of the classic sung by Sybil so many years ago.
6. “I Will Stand” (Gadsbois Up All Night Club Mix) — Claudja Barry
Euphoric and cheesetastic anthem to be played at parties named for colors.
7. “Heat of the Moment” (Club Remix) — Pit Bailay
The 80’s ASIA smash is back and sounds better than ever.
8. “Walking Away” (Tocadisco Mix) — The Egg
Twisted, sorrowful electro with a haunting vocal you won’t soon forget.
9. “Crazy” (The Discount Rhinos Full Control Mix) — Gnarls Barkley
Song of the moment — already everywhere. Very Moby Play.
10. “Hello There” (All Mixes) — Cagedbaby
This smooth, blissful entry bears comparison to Royksopp.
