Brandon Routh, in Australia for promotion of Superman Returns, told the Sydney Morning Herald that he is prepared for the onslaught of fame: “It will be different. Every day I am learning how to deal with it and make it work for me … I don't have any secrets so it will be fine.”
Of Superman‘s gay vibe, Routh said: “You find whatever message you want. Everybody is going to interpret the film differently…People will see the movie and realise that Superman is certainly not gay. And I am not (gay) as well, but people will have that discussion as much as they want – it is a topic for people to talk about.”
