A line from the new Heath Ledger film Candy inspired laughter from the audience at a recent screening at which Ledger was present according to NYDN's Rush & Molloy. Ledger's character suggests to his girlfriend (Abbie Cornish) that he start turning gay tricks in order to support his drug habit, but decides against it: “I wouldn't know what to do. [Gays] want muscle hunks. I'd be hopeless.”
Ledger apparently thought the dark movie needed “some comic relief” as well, and provided some to a male audience member after the show who asked him if he was wearing underwear. His response? “I'm going commando right now.” Apparently it's a Brokeback thing.
