The body of a murdered gay Spanish doctor, Joaquin Leal Bermudez, has been discovered in a snowy valley near Oslo, authorities have reported. Bermudez was last seen in mid-January at the London pub, an Oslo gay bar.
A neighbor reported he had heard “noises and shouts” coming from the doctor's flat the day after he was seen at the bar.
The suspect in his killing, whom police found driving the doctor's blood-stained car shortly after Bermudez disappeared, is a 37-year-old Norwegian who was reportedly involved romantically with the doctor. Since Bermudez' disappearance, he has been held but has refused to speak with authorities.
The cause of death has been described as “a blunt instrument”.
