Former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey (above, right) joined Larry Kramer (below in T-shirt and hat) and his ACT UP “army” of approximately 60 activists and veterans today at noon at the Times Square military recruiting station to protest remarks made by Joint Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace and the military's “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” policy.
We sent Towleroad correspondent Dave G. to cover the activity. Kramer called for a new “gay army” in remarks at New York's Gay & Lesbian Center on Tuesday night, and announced plans to picket Times Square. McGreevey, who attended that event, promised to show up at the protest, and did.
More coverage over at Joe.My.God and Good as You and Rex Wockner.
