Madonna's Filth and Wisdom will have its North American premiere at the 10th annual Provincetown Film Festival, Variety reports. The decade-old event will also honor a number of high-profile filmmakers at the tip of the cape:
“Thesps Gael Garcia Bernal and Jane Lynch will be feted along with multihyphenate Quentin Tarantino, for the Filmmaker on the Edge award. Clark Gregg's ‘Choke' will close the fest, and James Marsh's doc about a daredevil tightrope walker, “Man on Wire” will unspool in the centerpiece selections with helmer Alan Ball's ‘Towelhead.' Fest will honor all 10 previous Filmmaker on the Edge recipients: John Waters, Christine Vachon, Ted Hope, James Schamus, Gus Van Sant, Todd Haynes, Jim Jarmusch, Mary Harron, Gregg Araki and Todd Solondz with some of the past honorees in attendance.”
