Harry Reid introduces Senator-Elect Al Franken for his first Senate press conference, quoting former Republican Congressman Vin Weber as saying Franken's detractors will be "pleasantly surprised" to find he "is a smart guy who's serious about issues and a hard worker." Franken reiterates that he is the second senator from Minnesota, not the magic sixtieth vote in the Senate. Hopefully, he's both.
