James Franco stars in Howl, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's new film about beat poet Allen Ginsberg. It's an amalgam of various storytelling devices, as this story in the Guardian details:
"Epstein and Friedman's bop-inflected film now mixes Ginsberg's originalreading with a dramatisation of both the obscenity trial and amercurial interview Ginsberg gave to a Time reporter, as well asdreamy animation."
