Mitt Romney wasted no time going after Obama as he announced that he would be seeking the Republican nomination for President in 2012 on a farm in Stratham, New Hampshire.
"A few years ago, Americans did something that was, actually, very much the sort of thing Americans like to do: We gave someone new a chance to lead, someone we hadn't known for very long, who didn't have much of a record but promised to lead us to a better place…At the time, we didn't know what sort of a president he would make…Now, in the third year of his four-year term, we have more than promises and slogans to go by. Barack Obama has failed America."
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP…
Remember Romney's parting shot at gays last time he ran? Let's not forget.
In a speech announcing he's suspending his campaign, he also took the time to ponder the "attacks on our culture," among them gays and lesbians who want to marry and the "liberal judges" who would give us equal rights.
Said Romney: "The development of a child is enhanced by having a mother and father. Such a family is the ideal for the future of the child and for the strength of a nation. I wonder how it is that unelected judges, like some in my state of Massachusetts, are so unaware of this reality, so oblivious to the millennia of recorded history. It is time for the people of America to fortify marriage through constitutional amendment, so that liberal judges cannot continue to attack it!"
