Neil Patrick Harris to star in marriage equality film? "It all started with a joke. We were on break on the set of How I Met Your Mother, and Jason Segel was Google Imaging me to find that one shot of me on a unicorn. Instead, he happened upon a picture of me holding a double-barrel shotgun. I don't even remember when…anyway, he showed it to Allyson Hannigan, and she said, 'Hey, it's a homo with a shotgun!' I guess she had just seen the trailer for [the Rutger Hauer film] Hobo with a Shotgun, and thought it was a cute riff. Next thing I know, somebody from Dimension [Films] is on the phone, and we're getting $20 million in funding from the State of New York to develop the picture. Amazing."

QVC cancels Jane Fonda appearance after pressure from groups opposed to her Vietnam anti-war stance: "I was to have been on QVC today to introduce my book, “Prime Time,” about aging and the life cycle. The network said they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear. I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups. And that they did it without talking to me first. I have never shied away from talking about this as I have nothing to hide…Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country….."
