Drake Bell Tweets That He’ll Still Call Caitlyn Jenner ‘Bruce’

Former Nickelodeon star and musician Drake Bell is in hot water after tweeting a snide response to Caitlyn Jenner's debut, with the Drake and Josh star misgendering Caitlyn on Twitter, Billboard reports. Bell has since deleted the tweet and posted a follow-up tweet attempting to explain the intent behind his original message.

I'm not dissing him! I just don't want to forget his legacy! He is the greatest athlete of all time! Chill out!

— Drake Bell (@DrakeBell) June 1, 2015

Bell received widespread backlash for his comments, additionally earning the ire of RuPaul's Drag Race Judge Michelle Visage who took to Twitter, directing terse words toward the young musician, in typical no-holds-barred Visage fashion.

Cowardly piece of shit

— michelle visage (@michellevisage) June 1, 2015

To then hide behind "forgetting his legacy"and STILL calling her a HIM is DOUBLY disrespectful. STOP. TWEETING https://t.co/kT7gX8Pmmm

— michelle visage (@michellevisage) June 1, 2015

Currently, it appears Bell has erased any and all tweets pertaining to the incident, including his backpedaling rebuttal.
