A wax figure of Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox is set to be unveiled by Madame Tussauds, the first time a transgender person has been made into a wax figure by the museum, according to The San Jose Mercury News.
The figure will be unveiled on June 26 during the San Francisco Pride press conference and go on display at Madame Tussauds in Fisherman's Wharf.
Said Cox: “I am so deeply honored to have been asked to be part of the Madame Tussauds legacy. I hope that this will be a source of inspiration for every one who encounters it to believe that their dreams matter and are possible.”
