MSNBC host Rachel Maddow stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday to discuss the 2016 presidential campaign and the bizarre reality we find ourselves in where Donald Trump is leading the polls for one of the two major political parties of the world's most powerful nation.
Said Maddow:
“I love the idea that this is a stunt. And I love the idea that he is just a celebrity and this isn't actually a political campaign. But turns out Republican voters want Donald Trump more than they want any of the 40 other people running. That is a gift from God in terms of having this be my job.”
Maddow also discussed her excitement for the upcoming GOP debate (“is he going to pull his pants down?”) and how Fox News' ten candidate limit is pushing out “real” candidates like John Kasich and Chris Christie.
