Anderson Cooper sat down with Seth Meyers last night for a discussion about the current 2016 Republican presidential line-up and its frontrunner Donald Trump.
Cooper said Trump shouldn’t be written off as another right-wing loony who will flame out:
“I don’t think you can compare. I think Donald Trump defies the laws of political gravity at this point. Michelle Bachmann, her star rose quickly, but it fell quickly as well. Donald Trump has the money to back up whatever he wants to do and he’s tapped into something very powerful…I take all candidates seriously. I actually like talking to Donald Trump. I like interviewing him…He shows up, sits down, and says what’s on his mind. And he attacks you in the process, which is always entertaining.”
Cooper and Meyers are also impressed by the hours Trump keeps on social media, and his seeming ability to see everything written and said about him.
Said Cooper, giving Trump face (above) and imitating the blowhard:
“2 am. 2:35 am. 4 am. ‘She’s a loser! She should hang out with Seth Meyers! … I keep imagining his wife being like ‘honey, get off the Twitter.'”
