We’ve profiled gay storylines on daytime and nighttime soap operas before, notably Will and Sonny on Days of Our Lives, Luke and Noah (aka Nuke) on As The World Turns, Fish and Kyle on One Life to Live, among others.
You can now add to that list Jude and Zero (or J & 0 as they’re sometimes known online) from VH1’s basketball series Hit The Floor. The show started out focusing primarily on the world of professional cheerleading as it relates to basketball. However, as HTF progressed, new characters and storylines have come into play.
Enter Jude (Brent Antonello) and Zero (Adam Senn). Zero is a star player for the fictional Los Angeles Devils. And Jude is Zero’s sports agent. Add to that soap fodder the fact that Jude insists he’s not gay when the pair first start their flirtation. For his part, Zero says that he’s historically more bisexual and finds himself falling hard for Jude despite his best efforts to avoid romantic entanglements.
While not all the clips from J & 0’s romance are posted online, you can do some serious catching up with these videos, sourced from VH1 and one super-fan, below.
(Parts 6 & 7 are missing)
Did we mention that Jonathan Bennett is in the show too?
