In an interview with Tucker Carlson on FOX News, Donald Trump challenged NATO’s mutual defense clause, questioning whether the U.S. should defend the “tiny country” of Montenegro after Carlson brought it up.
“Why should my son go to Montenegro to defend it from attack?”, asked Carlson. Said Trump: “Montenegro is a tiny country with very strong people. They’re very aggressive people. They may get aggressive, and congratulations you’re in World War III.”
